We extend a warm welcome to you as you enter the doors of Smith Elementary! Smith Elementary School opened in 2004 as a newly renovated preschool-second grade school. Our enrollment of over 500 students consists of 390 kindergarten-second grade students and over 100 preschool students. We take great pride in our teaching and support staff and feel very fortunate to share such a wonderful learning environment with our students.
In addition to a well-rounded curriculum that meets all state standards, we offer physical education, music, and art instruction. Our students are provided with many wonderful learning opportunities through Accelerated Reader, field trips, assemblies, stories with the principal and many evening family events. These activities help enrich our students’ lives and improve their knowledge and skills.
Smith Elementary benefits from strong parental involvement and support. Your involvement is vital to our students’ success! We invite and encourage you to be an active participant here at Smith through volunteering in our classrooms, joining the Panther Cubs PTO and joining us for special events.
